It also prints quite fast, produces good output, and is easy to use. Even if you don’t have an LCD, you must use a USB connection to set up wireless (unless you have Wi-Fi Protected Setup on your router). This documentation is top-notch, and the control panel is very simple: a double-digit LED shows the number of copies and messages. Canon provides clearly labeled buttons and LED indicator lights for scanning, copying, and maintenance tasks. The Wi-Fi indicator is on the front of the unit, but there is no card slot and USB/PictBridge port.  Paper handling on the PIXMA MG3100 is basic (apart from the automatic duplex feature): a front panel is revealed to reveal the 100-sheet input area. The photo quality on Canon paper itself looks pretty good, although the orange color is a bit unnatural which is especially seen on human faces. On plain paper, the color graphics look quite accurate, and the text appears dark and sharp, although grayscale graphics tend to be slightly to purple. Full-Page glossy color prints take almost 4 minutes to print, but text pages are printed on plain paper print at 6.2 pages per minute on a PC and 5.85 ppm on a Mac. Snapshot size photos appear at 2.4 ppm on plain paper and 1.2 ppm on glossy paper.
